２０１９年のグレタ・トゥーンベリさんのスピーチ以来、気候変動の事ばかり考えてきました。
２１００年には水没する国が増え、自然災害の脅威に怯える未来、それは少なからず大人の私たちも、そして産まれたばかりの赤ちゃんにはより多くの影響をもたらすはずです。
リサイクルは、とても有効であることを知りました。家庭廃棄物と産業廃棄物のリサイクル率が地球全体で６５％まで進むと２０５０年までに２.８ギガトン（１ギガトンはオリンピックプール４０万個分、水量にすると１０億トン）のCO2が削減出来ます。
私たちはもう十分必要なものは手にしている。いかに今あるもので生きていくべきかを考えるのが大切なのだと思いました。

これがSutenainetを販売する理由にもつながっています。
Sutenaiは捨てない、netはネットワークです。
９年前にベトナムのハノイに住んでいた友達が、まだ商品化されていないこの中古漁網ネットの端切れを食器洗いに使っていたのがきっかけでした。彼女からその時もらったネットを私はまだ使っています。丈夫だし、匂いもつかないし、捨てる理由がありません。
このネットは長年漁網として使われたものです。網の繊維の磨耗がかえって石鹸の泡立ちを良くして、食器へのあたりをソフトにします。洗剤なしでも落とせます。何かに引っ掛けるだけですぐ乾き、においがつきません。そして何より、経年劣化があまりない。一般家庭で使用するなら５年は軽く持ちます。
このSutenainet赤黒シリーズは、ベトナムの女性障害者支援NGOのCormisと提携しており、漁師からの買取、洗浄、裁断そしてタグ付けをお願いすることで彼女たちへの支援にもつながっています。ちなみにタグも現地で調達したアップサイクルの布です。

このSutenainetが私に多くの事をおしえてくれました。
もし漁網としてこの素材を考えたら、ただのゴミです。でも食器洗いにしたら、もしかしたら一生使い続けられるかもしれません。

毎日台所に立ってこのネットを手にする度に、捨てないで活かせるものはないか考えます。

世界中にはたくさんの優れたものが溢れていて、気候変動阻止のキーになるのは、私たちのそうした気づきだと思うのです。
Sutenainetを手にした人が、また新しい可能性に気づいて、それが広がって行くことを思い描いて続けて行くつもりです。

【The Reason Why I Started Sutenainet】
I have been cared about the environment since I heard Greta’s speech.
Of course I had already known about the global warming, but I thought it would happen more further future. After I knew that scientists have high confidence that the sea level raise will continue so that some countries will be under water and so many people will be suffered from big natural disasters by 2100, I decided I do everything what I could. I went to son’s elementary school with story book about Greta and had some events to inform people about the climate crisis.
Because most of people didn’t care about it because of Coronavirus.

Last year, I joined the Citizens Climate Lobby Japan, and went to some local politicians to ask for declaring CO2 zero emissions toward 2050.
And also I joined workshop of Draw Dawn which suggests how we can stop climate changes by 100 ways.
You know, only shifting the energy into natural resources is not the answer but just one of the solutions. According to Draw Down, I found the recycling is big impact toward climate changes.

We each have to realize how we already have enough things.
We can live with what we have already had.

That’s my reason to sell this net.
I named this net “Sutenainet”. “Sutenai” means “Do not throw away” in Japanese.
I got this net from my close friend living in Hanoi who gave me this about 9 years ago. Actually I’m still using the same one. Because it’s so tough and no need to throw away.

This net is so precious although it is common thing like you can get it all over the world where fishermen live.
Still this nets are so special because of the ladies who work in Cormis. They really have positive mind and love to make the “Sutenainet”. The items will add value through their manual work. I really appreciate all of Cormis members.

The net is taught me how the things are precious.
The net is just a garbage as a fishing net, but if you use it as a dish washing net, it could be the things that can be used for a lifetime.

Then I found some kind of truth of my life.
This fishing net told me about the big mistake of human life.
Now we say the plastics are bad for our environment so you should bring eco bags!
I think It’s not the truth. We have to find how precious the plastics are and how stupid the way of using the plastics.
We have many precious things all over the world and the key to stop climate changes will come from our awareness.

That’s why I sell this “Sutenainet”.
I believe the people who get these nets and find something like that, then the world will change. We need no more new things, but the awareness of the precious things around the world.

In the end, I really hope this Sutenainet can be the network of “sutenai world” which no one would throw away things, people and hope. All Sutenai people gether here with sharing good ideas, and let’s transit the new world.
